What is Magestry?
|
Magestry
is a live action role-playing game that takes place on and in the
imaginary
world of Magesta. Magesta is just one of many worlds in the
Dabbleverse™
Campaign Setting by PDabble Games™. Its lands are
very
similar to those of planet Earth, but it is a more fantastical setting.
Magesta
possesses many of the elements from classic fantasy literature (elves,
goblins,
magic, etc.), but there are also many elements unique to the
Dabbleverse. Magestry has a system of rules that is different from
that of any other live action role-playing game. It has been designed
to
give the player ultimate flexibility in building and playing his or her
character;
however, we hope that each player will be more focused on having fun
and
on role-playing well than on character advancement. For the enjoyment
of
all the players of Magestry, we are interested in the personalities,
backgrounds,
and ambitions of each character on Magesta. You don't have to have the
most
powerful character to have the most fun. Magestry is more than just a
game; it is a family. Everyone
in the family enjoys playing with good role-players, so don't be shy
about
putting on your best act. You will be rewarded for a well developed and
well
played character. Join the Magestry family and play it up! |

![]() The fee for the next event is $60 for PCs ($55 if received seven days (i.e. Friday) before the event and Free for NPCs. SEND in your registration as soon as possible! Also, send in your character updates and histories if you haven't already. The more time we have to work with what you give us, the better we can make the game for your character. If you are a regular player and can not attend it would be helpful to let us know that you will not be there. |

We
are back at Chesterfield Scout Reservation with more players than
ever and the cabin space there is limited. Therefore, it is suggested
you
pre-register (this includes payment) and, when you do so, choose your
cabin preference. If you plan to pay at the door, you ARE NOT
guaranteed a cabin. There are two cabins to choose from: A. Upper Cabin (Ecology) 18 spaces B. Lower Cabin (Handicraft) 14 spaces (The Inn at the Middle Cabin (Magee) can hold overflow up to 12 spaces.) There is also limited tent space, so if you plan to pay at the door, bring a tent because you might not have a cabin. Those who have already pre-registered need to choose a cabin; please email Paul at PDabbleGames@aol.com. If you do not choose a cabin, he will assume you will be tenting and not reserve a cabin space for you. At the beginning of the event, DO NOT set your things up in a cabin until we've told you which one you've been assigned to. You may have to move your things if you do this. NO COTS will be allowed in the cabins (nor sleeping bags on the floor). Sleeping more people than the cabins are set up for is against the fire code and puts people in the way of each other and tends to dampen otherwise chipper moods (in-game and out). The cost of dinner is now included in the price. |
